So, how are you using the “news” to bring in more prospects?   Using News Worthy events or people is a great way to increase response in your marketing.  The above ad is certainly an attention getter and has proven effective in print and in on line marketing.

 

If it were me, this ad would be embedded on every move up listing I posted on Craig’s List.  I would also be testing it in the news section of your small local community papers.  If I were in Canada, it would be tested on post cards as well.  You can even turn this ad into a very relevant editorial style ad.  Obama is not just in the news, he is the news.

Hi Todd!

I took your advice from our recent phone conversation as well as what you said in Atlanta last week and I was able to take my first 7% listing this morning, of course with a 4/3 split and I have you to thank for that!  All I had to do was ask/tell them what our commission was when they asked. No one batted an eye. I was competing against another agent who had an appointment later today, as well as her previous agent who had yet to renew the expired listing. I gave her my presentation and when she asked me to just give her the paperwork so she could send it to me later, I said no problem, but let me ask what did you need to think about (isolated the objection-per TW’s instructions) she hesitated for a moment, then laughed and said “Oh, let’s just go ahead and get this done”! She then called and cancelled her other appointments!  Oh yes, and one more thing,  I have built in an automatic $2500 dollar price reduction every 14 days also.  So I guess its Thank You times 3 on this one! The trip to Atlanta was well worth it! Hope to talk to you again soon!
